It has almost everything we wanted and expected, a new faster dual core processor called the A5, front and back facing cameras similar to the iPhone 4, and updated OS (version 4.3), FaceTime and other new features. It's also 33% thinner, but with the same battery life. While the iPad 2 finally provides HDMI video output at 1080p it's not clear if the video output is really capable of 1080p. The demonstrations just showed video mirroring of the iPad 1024x768 pixel screen. This was a disappointment. Most really expected an upgraded screen resolution to something akin to the Motorola Xoom or better (so that it would finally be capable of displaying a native HD resolution such as 720p (1280x720).
